I stayed at 106 Gleneldon Road from July 1955 until April 1956 with Mr and Mrs Peckham (as I knew them!). Edith was very kind to me in those nine months. In August 1955 Edith diagnosed I had an appendicitis and I was in St Thomas Hospital for a week. After I was discharged Edith escorted me the length of Gleneldon Road after the bus journey to Streatham, a rather painful walk I remember well.
My thoughts are with you all as you celebrate the life of your mother, whom I remember well.
As Swedenborg said,"To grow old in Heaven is to grow young" and as I write this my thoughts are in that direction for her.

Kind regards from John C
